Engr. Ahmed Mohammed (MNSE) earned his bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering from Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria and completed his Master’s degree in Process Engineering and Energy Technology in Bremerhaven University of Applied Sciences, Germany.

Ahmed currently works as Project Engineer with Ankron Water Service GmbH where he’s responsible for the operational planning,execution, and control of technical projects with major focus on Ballast water commissioning D-2 discharge compliance.

With more than five (5)-years of professional experience in Petroleum and Energy sector, Ahmed has worked and affiliated to several Multi-international and National Organisations such as Profluid Well services Ltd, Portharcourt, Total E and P Nigeria (TEPNG) Portharcourt ; Engineers India Limited (EIL) New Delhi; Dangote Refinery and Petrochemicals Projects (DRPP) Lekki- Lagos; Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, Mumbai, India.

Among the many awards Ahmed has received for his work in the petroleum industry, is the Society of Petroleum Engineers (S. P. E) Pioneer Award in the Field of Petroleum Engineering 2014 where he held the post of Secretary General, National Merit Scholarship undergraduate (Total Upstream Nigeria) 2009-2014, Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Scholarship 2018 and Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) award 2018.

Ahmed belongs to a variety of organizations such as Society of Petroleum Engineers (S. P. E), Verein Deutscher Ingenieure (VDI) (English: Association of German Engineers), Nigeria Society of Engineers, Council for the regulations of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN).

Ahmed have executed a number of projects across Petroleum and Energy sector.

Some of these projects include;

Azuzuama 1st Oil well (Team OES rig)

Team member of Design and Detail Engineering of the Largest Crude Distillation unit and
Tank Farms (Dangote Oil Refinery Projects),

and other research projects like:

Accessing the quality of practice size (TIO2) determination by means of centrifugation;

An Integration of combined power system utilization, recycle of metal fuels with reduction/oxidation for energy storage.

Ahmed is a trained Process Engineer with vast experience in Refinery operations (Field operations and Panel control), Design and Detail Engineering. His interest in Process Engineering and Energy Technology cut across various fields including Dynamic simulation; Heat Integration; Energy from Biomass; Process Optimization; Electrochemistry and Renewable Energy.
